It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Melissa Haines, who was born on May 21, 1980, in Traverse City, Michigan, and passed away on December 22, 2025.

Melissa was the cherished daughter of Larry and Marilyn Haines, a devoted wife to her beloved husband Don, and a deeply loving mother to her four children: Zach, Noah, JJ, and Elizabeth. She built her life around love, family, and compassion, always putting others before herself.

Melissa tragically passed away while giving birth to her youngest child, Elizabeth. Her sudden loss has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Melissa had a way of making everyone feel seen and cared for, and her kindness touched countless lives.

Though her time with us was far too short, her love and legacy will live on through her children and the many memories she leaves behind. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on January 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 2700 Hammond Highlands Drive. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember, celebrate, and honor the beautiful life she lived.
