Melissa Ariza, born on April 2, 2002, tragically passed away on April 10, 2024, in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in 2020, where she excelled academically and made lifelong friends.

Melissa was known for her bright smile, infectious laughter, and compassionate heart. She had a zest for life and a passion for helping others. Whether it was volunteering at a local charity or lending a listening ear to a friend in need, Melissa always put others before herself.

After high school, Melissa pursued her dream of becoming a pediatric nurse. She enrolled in nursing school and was well on her way to achieving her goal of making a positive impact on children's lives.

Despite facing her own struggles, Melissa remained resilient and determined. Her unwavering strength inspired those around her and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her kindness and generosity will be missed by all who knew her.

Although Melissa did not have any children of her own, she had a special bond with her nieces and nephews, who brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She cherished every moment she spent with them and loved them unconditionally.
