We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Melanie McElfresh on December 21, 2025, in Lexington Kentucky, United States. She was born on June 17, 1960, to George Wireman and Wilma Allen.

Melanie leaves behind her loving partner Charles McElfresh, as well as her two devoted children, Donna Burgess and Amanda McElfresh. She was also a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren, Rebecca Silva , Beverly Velasquez, Hailey Burgess , Emily Trimble, Matthew Trimble, Gregory Trimble, Brain Trimble, Kenzley Burgess, Eli Trimble

Melanie attended Versailles High School and later dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom, where she poured her love and energy into raising her children and caring for her family.

She will always be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her unwavering dedication to her loved ones, and her contagious laughter that brightened the lives of all who knew her.

Melanie's battle with cancer was a difficult one, but throughout it all, she showed immense strength and bravery. Her legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her service will be held at , Faith Pointe Church 549 Parkside Dr,Lexington from 1-3 Saturday December 27th .
