Waterloo mourns the loss of Mayzie Iola Johnston' Seehase, a beloved member of the community who passed away at the age of 91 while residing at Harmony of Waterloo Nursing Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Mayzie Friday, November 8th 2024 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Ia at 11 o'clock with a luncheon provided afterwards. Visitation will be received from 10 to 11a.m.

Mayzie is survived by her children Brian Johnston, Kristen Johnston, Rick (Kim ) Johnston, Brenda (Kirk) Miller, Doug (Brenda) Johnston, Debbie Johnston, Pam (Jerry) Bier, Susan Johnston' Woodward, Step Children Donna Seehase, Darwin (Anita) Seehase, Dawn (Rob) Watkins & Diana Seehase. Mayzie was also a proud grandma & great Grandma to over 50 children!

Proceeded in death by her husband Ervin Seehase, the late Richard Johnston, two sons Mark Johnston, Steve Johnston, her parents Emil (Viola Worple) & Step Mother Irene Lubbert, two sisters Lavonne Moses & Vera Bueckmann.

Mayzie will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
