It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maynard Barnes, who was born on August 10, 1954, and left this world on November 27, 2025, in Marion, Louisiana, United States.

Maynard will be remembered as a loving father to four children: Maynard Barnes Jr., Sheila Barnes, Andre Barnes, and William Barnes. He was also a doting grandfather to eight grandchildren.

Maynard attended Marion High School, where he graduated in 1972. He went on to have a successful career as a car mechanic, eventually retiring in 2019.

Aside from his work, Maynard had a passion for building model cars and working on his muscle cars. He found joy in using his hands and creating intricate pieces of art.

Maynard's unexpected passing was due to a heart attack. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
