Maurice Danelle Hough was born in Jackson, MS on May 21, 1977 to Bennett and Charlene Towers. Maurice was a kind and compassionate kid who loved playing in the dirt, running around the neighborhood and being a big bother to his baby sisters Theresa Towers and Samantha Towers.

Maurice attended Jackson State College for two years before leaving Jackson to find his place in the world. He was a lifetime fan of the Green Bay Packers, a lover of all things Science Fiction and a self taught artist who left behind impressive pieces of art work. Maurice was a gentle soul with a brilliant mind whose sole purpose in life was to be healthy and provide a better life for his family.

Maurice's daughter Janell was born on December 16, 2009 and Maurice was united in marriage to Elizabeth Barry on May 30, 2015 in Erie, PA. It was with Liz that Marice created an impressive life that saw Maurice blessed with 3 additional daughters Kylee Frazier, Jalissa McLaurin and Paige McLaurin. Kylee and her beautiful wife blessed Maurice with 3 grandkids Mile Frazier, Jasper Fazier and Jerome Bass who lovingly referred to Maurice as "Papa Mo". In addition to his stepdaughters Maurice was blessed by the Barry clan with his Mother-in-Law Jean Barry, Father-in-law Tony Barry, Sister-in-Law Therese Berkey, Brother-in-Law Thomas(Katina) Barry and Brother-in-Law and Kidney Donor James(Cecilia) Barry along with several nieces and nephews.

Sadly, Maurice's body gave out on him and he was reunited with the Lord on December 23, 2025. On December 29, 2025 friends and family across Erie gather to say goodbye to Maurice. We shared memories, stories, words of encouragment and love for the man who will be missed beyond comprehension. Maruice had a knack for bringing joy to those around him and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Maurice was preceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert Hough and Gladys Hough and his maternal Great Grandmother Eloise Tatum; his paternal grandparents Mose Bennet Camper and Henrene Towers and his paternal Great Grandmother Eva Towers; 2 uncles Robert Hough Jr. and Mitchell Towers; 2 cousins Taneka Tarrio and Marcus Dunson.
