Maureen A. Meyer1934 - 2016Maureen A. Meyer, 81, a resident of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. She was born on Aug. 25, 1934, to Joseph and Mary (Dorff) Fitzpatrick in Kenosha where she lived her whole life. On March 9, 1963, Maureen was united in marriage with Gordon A. Meyer. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1998.Maureen was a childcare provider and operated Maureen's Child Care for many years. After her retirement from child care, she worked at Lakeside Cleaners.She is survived by two daughters, Jill L. Meyer of Pleasant Prairie and Suzanne Meyer of Kenosha and by three grandchildren, Tracey (Michael) Pelishek of Kenosha, Tiffany (Aaron Galdonik) Maksen of Kenosha and T.J. (Kendra) Maksen of Silver Lake. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Bane Pelishek, Maris Pelishek and Kal Maksen.In addition to her parents and her husband, Maureen was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Fitzpatrick.A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at 5 p.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church.
