Mattie Glaster, 79, of Jersey City, New Jersey, passed Monday, March 09, 2020. Mattie was born to Marcel Dennis, and Mattie Glaster, April 14, 1940 in Fitzpatrick, Alabama.

Mattie graduated from Hayes High school in 1958. She married Seal Glaster in 1960, and they lived together in Jersey City. Mattie worked at Dixon pencil factory until she retired in 1996.

Mattie is survived by 6 children: Mary Williams (Derick Williams), Lula Mae Martin (Richard Martin), Elizabeth Kelly (Thomas Kelly), Anna Glaster, Charles Glaster, and Betty Glaster. She also is survived by 56 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildern.

 

Mattie enjoy spending time with her family she also love to bake her good old sweet potato pies and her cakes

and knitting she would knit everything. 

Everyone who has had encounter with mattie loved her. Swillhe had a big heart and showed love to everyone she met. 

Mattie was a amazing mother,grandmother and friend she loved lending a helping hand, she has help so many people start their new journey.
