Matthew M. Russell, age 43, of Hale passed away on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at Saginaw St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on Sept. 14, 1972 in Tawas to Charles and Katherine Russell.Matthew enjoyed collecting sports cards, coins, and stamps. He loved animals and visiting the Iosco animal shelter. He also loved going to music specials at Hale Baptist Church and fishing with his dad. Matthew is survived by his parents, Charles and Kathy Russell of Hale; sister, Marquerite (Josh) Friedlander of Olympia, Wash.; and niece and nephew, Rafi and Anshe Friedlander. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cory Russell.Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon followed by the funeral service on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at noon at Buresh Funeral Home Hale Chapel at 121 S.
