We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Matthew Simon on February 14, 2025, in Groton, Connecticut, United States. Born on May 8, 1989, Matthew was the beloved son of Edward and Millie Simon. He leaves behind his loving partner, Laura Shaw, and their two children, Jeremiah Surdo and Joseph Surdo.

Matthew was a dedicated employee at Seconn Fabrication and a proud graduate of Waterford High School, class of 2007. In his free time, he enjoyed watching baseball, especially cheering on the Red Sox, and spending sunny days at the beach.

Matthew will be remembered for his infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
