Maryellen Pownds-Albrecht, 63, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on May 23, 2024. She was born on April 29, 1961, in Augusta.

Maryellen was a loving mother to her five children, Bobby, Nathan, Patrick, Andrew, and Cassandra. She adored her six grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them.

She graduated from Cortland Highschool High School in 1984, where she made many lasting friendships. Maryellen was passionate about volunteering at her church and teaching Sunday school. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

In her free time, Maryellen enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, gardening, and taking long walks on the Savannah River Walk. Her warm smile and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
