It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Nderitu, who was born on December 16, 1932, in Nyahururu, Laikipia, Kenya. She was the beloved daughter of Stephen Nderitu Mathai and Martha Nderitu Mathai.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Julie Nderitu and Mercy Nderitu, and four adoring grandchildren. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary attended Nyahururu High School before furthering her education at Nairobi University. She had a successful career at Laikipia General, where she worked until her retirement in 1995.

In her free time, Mary enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren, volunteering at the church,and dancing. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went and will always be remembered for her warmth and kindness.

On December 6, 2024, Mary Nderitu passed away due to heart failure. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
