Mary T. SomersRedding, CA 1954 - 2017Mary T. Somers, age 62, went to meet her Lord on April 21, 2017. Mary T. Somers was born on November 23, 1954 in Culver City to her loving parents Elizabeth and Burl Gray. She married Michael T. Somers on May 26th, 1973. Together they began building a beautiful and loving family. Mary was a JA-Ketts debutante at Culver High School. She had a lifetime commitment as a child advocate and was the President of a non-profit organization that specialized in handicap children's rights. Mary was a religious teacher for over 30 years and she was well known for her faith and love for God. Mary leaves behind seven beautiful children and eight grandchildren who loved her dearly and will surely miss her. Even though she is gone her memories will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by her brothers Sean and Timmy Gray, her son Chris Somers, son George Somers, daughter-in-law Aly Somers and granddaughter Parker Somers, son David Somers, daughter-in-law Kristin Trailor and granddaughter Jordyn Somers, daughter Elizabeth Weaver and granddaughter Julie Weaver, Katherine Matthews, son-in-law Justin Matthews and grandsons William, Dylan and Zachary Matthews, granddaughter Cortny Ward, daughter Dominica Somers and daughter Laura Somers and grandson Michael Somers. Michael and Mary are together in heaven for their 44th wedding anniversay May 26th, 2017.
