ALBION — Mary Esther Nichols, 99, of Albion, died on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at North Ridge Village Nursing Home. She was born on May 9, 1915, in Whitley County. She married Kenneth Nichols on Oct. 31, 1934, in Columbia City. She is survived by daughters, Beverly (Duane) Guthrie of Albion and Elaine Kay (Howard) McGlennen of Clarksvile, Georgia, seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Irene Nichols of Columbia City, and a foster sister, Catherine Jagger of Columbia City. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2004, a brother, and two sisters. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Brazzell Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road with visitation one hour prior. Dr. Thomas Clothier officiating. Visitation also from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Columbia City.
