This obituary is administered by:
CORIGLIANO, Mary N. (Bafaro) (Cannata) (Age 102) Passed away on November 1, 2016 at the age of 102. Mary was born on December 21, 1913 in Spezzano Piccolo, Italy, one of nine children. She moved from Italy to the United States in 1949 when she joined her husband, Giovanni Cannata, who was already in Spokane. After his passing, Mary married Frank Corigliano in 1958. Mary lived as a widow from 1976 until her passing. Mary loved to garden, growing many vegetable plants from her own dried seed. She grew beautiful flowers, making hers one of the nicest homes on the block. She was known for her generosity. She did not forget an occasion. She lived frugally and ate out of her garden but always had enough to share. She brought her Italian butter slices to many events. Mary is also remembered for standing at the stove for hours each Christmas Eve making culorilli and she also made tordilli and scalilli. Mary is survived by her many nieces and nephews in the States, Canada and Italy. A service will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016. On-line condolences may be posted at www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.
