Mary L. (James) Grenat, 87Hebron - Mary L. (James) Grenat, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her residence.She was born on April 18, 1929 in Muncie, the daughter of Hubert E. and Opal G. (Gale) James.Mary graduated from Selma High School. After high school she attended college in Elkhart. Mary married the love of her life, Cecil W. Grenat on May 20, 1951 in Selma. Mary worked as an early pioneer in computers for a Transportation Company in Illinois. She also worked as a cashier, in payroll, and working switchboards. After retirement she moved to northern Indiana with her husband, she retired from Welsh Oil in 1999. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and home improvement shows. Until Mary's illness she enjoyed going to Church of the Nazarene, she was a member of Muncie First Nazarene Church. Mary was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.Survivors include her children, Jane Burkhalter, Nancy Grenat, Duane (Denise) Grenat, and Sheri (Adam) Wright; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Wanda, brother, Gene, grandson, Jeff, and two son-in-laws.Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Rd., Muncie, IN 47304. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt.
