Mary Jean Brockman, 87, Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.She was born on Dec. 15, 1929 in Bradfordsville. Brockman was a homemaker and member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by: her husband, James Winifred Brockman; parents, Ernest and Essie Smothers Gribbins; and sister, Maxine Smothers. Survivors include: son, Steve (Lana) Brockman of Lebanon; four sisters, Shirley Battcher of Lebanon, Bonnie (Tommy) Wathen of Campbellsville, Sharon (Wilson) Gilbert of Lancaster, and Debbie Price of Campbellsville; and brother, Donald (Gail) Gribbins of Munfordsville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with interment in Ryder Cemetery. Rev. Rick Catron officiated.Pallbearers were Jerry Albertson, Gerald Gribbins, Marshall Brady, Tommy Wathen, Jimmy Wathen, and Dennis Whitehouse.Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
