(aka R.A. for those who knew her best) Mary Jane (MJ) Peel, 92, of Overland Park, KS, passed away December 11th, 2016. She was born on August 28th, 1924 to Arnold and Nellie Held in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of Paseo High School and a member of Cho Chin Sorority (Chi Omega). She married Lamar W. Peel on February 10th, 1950 and lived in Overland Park, KS most of her married life. MJ worked the majority of her career at Kenneth Smith Golf Clubs in Lenexa until her retirement. It was then that she was able to play bridge as often as she pleased! She is survived by her two daughters Linda Silkey (Fred) and Judy Bruegging, two grandchildren Ryan McGilley (Adriana) and Rory McGilley (Holley), extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. followed by a short service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21st, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, with burial immediately after.
