With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Morton, born on February 17, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio, United States. She peacefully left this world on June 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was the beloved daughter of Terry and Margaret Thompson. She married the love of her life, Jack Morton, in 1965, and together they raised three wonderful children: Erica Thompson (Chris Hague), LeVar Thompson, and Ronald Thompson (Jalisa Mitchell). Mary adored her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mary dedicated her life to education and worked as a passionate teacher until her retirement in 2005. She was a proud member of the Salvation Army organization and was awarded Teacher of the Year for her outstanding dedication to her students.

When she wasn't shaping young minds, Mary enjoyed indulging in her hobbies of knitting, cooking, and watching her favorite soap operas. She brought warmth and joy to all those around her and will be deeply missed.

Mary Morton's passing at the age of 83 was due to old age and dementia. Though she may be gone, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
