Mary Hernandez Momen-SafaiiOxnard, CAMary died peacefully on May 16, 2017 at St. John's Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Mary was born on October 11, 1956 in Oxnard, Ca. She was the fifth child of Salvador and Esther Hernandez.Mary attended St. Anthony's Elementary School and Santa Clara High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University Northridge.In 1978 she married Lotfollah (Lotfy) Momen-Safaii. Her daughter Leila was born in 1979. Leila was the light of her life. She was a very proud mom.Mary began working for the Department of Motor Vehicles in 1980. She became a manager and retired in 2015.Mary is survived by her husband Lotfy and her daughter Leila. Sisters, Linda Immordino (John), Rose Kemper Crowell (Quinn). Brothers, Salvador Hernandez (Susan), David Hernandez (Anita), James Hernandez (Laura), Dennis Hernandez. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews that loved her very much. In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her sister Avelina Guerra.She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.Donations may be made in her memory to the Scleroderma Foundation Southern California Chapter.
