Mary Grace Lawlerage 96, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017. She was born on June 19, 1920 to the late Charles M. and Rose E. (Luesche) Lauck in Indianapolis. Mary Grace was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and attended Marian College. She loved to play tennis and was an avid card player. When her children were young, she was an active volunteer at St. Barnabas Catholic School and Roncalli High School; later in life, she volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Survivors include her loving children, Bill (Patti) Lawler, Dan Lawler, Judy (Jim) Petrole and Barb (Paul) Janowiecki; brother-in-law, Les Clark; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Lawler; her parents; and siblings, Louise Mayer, Eleanor Christman, Charles B. Lauck, Joseph A. Lauck, Ruth Schroeder, Esther Clark and George Lauck. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, June 14 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with prayers being said at the funeral home prior to Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Br.
