Mary L. DownhourLancaster: Mary L. Downhour "Lou", 71, of Lancaster passed away on Sunday January 1, 2017 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on February 24, 1944 in Lancaster to the late Leo and Hazel (Mahaffey) Primmer. Mary retired from the Fairfield Medical Center. She was a member of Victory Hill Church, where she was the coordinator of the Senior Adult Ministry. She was also the President of the Carroll Community Garden Club.Mary "Lou" is survived by her husband of 55 years Jesse Downhour; son Kurtis L. (Dannette) Downhour, granddaughter Amber (Nathan) Dennis; great grandchildren Conner and Morgan Dennis; grandson Jeremiah (Brandi) Downhour; great grandchildren Jaylee and Westin Downhour; daughter Melissa A. Sanders; granddaughter Jessica (Scott) Stimmell; great granddaughter Allisyn Stimmell; grandson Christopher (Samantha) Sanders; great grandson Ricky Sanders son Kip A. Downhour; granddaughter Whitney (Brian) Griswold; great grandchildren Zachary, Emilee, Liam, and Ryleigh Griswold; grandson Jordan (Jordan) Downhour; great grandchildren Jamison and Jalin Downhour; William F. (Melissa) May; Ben (Jaclyn) May and Lola; Sara (Ryan) Heavner and Colin, Abel and Arlington; sisters Margaret Hewitt, Peggy Pritchard, Kay (Carl) Roark; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Rick Sanders and brother-in-law's Keith Hewitt and William Pritchard.Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00AM Thursday January 5, 2016 at Victory Hill Church. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday January 4, 2017 at Victory Hill Church from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Thursday from 10am to 11am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Victory Hill Church in Mary "Lou's" memory.
