Mettry, Mary C.Mary C. Mettry, age 85, of Sheboygan, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017. Mary was born on August 27, 1931 to the late Joseph and Agnes Fessler. Mary was a foster grandmother for 17 years. She collected thimbles, salt and pepper shakers, bells, cups and saucers. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Mary always enjoyed going to parades and having the annual Christmas cookies baking time with her nieces, granddaughters and sister.Mary is survived by her children, Helen (Arthur) Zettel, Margaret (Mark) Lulow and Samuel Mettry; three step children; grandchildren, Katrina Lulow, Brandon Lulow, Amber Zettel and Allen Zettel; six step grandchildren; great granddaughter, Jayden Lulow; siblings, Margaret "Margie" (Al) Tarnowski of Sheboygan, Judy (Jack) Burckhard of CA and sister-in-law, Karen Fessler; special friend, Mike Steffen as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; parents and brother, James Fessler.There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Ave., Sheboygan, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Mary will be cremated after the Mass and burial will take place in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy at a later date.A memorial fund has been established in Mary's name.
