Mary B. LabudaFeb 10, 1934May 30,2017Mary B. Labuda passed away on May 30, 2017. She was born on February 10, 1934 in Chicago, IL. She married her husband, John, in 1955. Mary graduated from St. Mary of Nazareth, school of nursing, and worked many years as a nurse in Chicago before moving to Reno in 1973. She worked as a nurse at Washoe Medical Center for over 20 years, retiring in 1994. Mary was preceded in death by her husband in 1986. She is survived by her son, Joseph, daughter-in-law, Linda, six grandchildren, and one great-grandson. A wake will be held June 8th at 6:00 pm at Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary on Kietzke Lane. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place June 9th at 2:00 pm at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church Wyoming Ave and Kings Row. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Mary B. Labuda Scholarship" to support student nurses at Truckee Meadows Community College.
