LaPlante, Mary AnnMary Ann LaPlante, 82, Green Bay, died Sunday, December 18, 2016. She was born on October 5, 1934, in Green Bay to Elmer and Edna (Rentmeester) Delfosse.Mary Ann graduated from St. Joseph Academy. On September 15, 1956, she married Darryl "Bud" LaPlante at Annunciation Catholic Church. Mary Ann enjoyed the time she spent in Colorado Springs while Bud was in the service. She started out working as a beautician at Allouez Beauty Salon and continued hairstyling while she lived in Colorado. Upon moving back to Wisconsin, she was employed at Graham Baycare as a housekeeper, retiring after 30 years. Mary Ann enjoyed her monthly dinners with her St. Joseph graduating class. She also enjoyed flower gardening. Mary Ann had a big heart and loved her grandchildren dearly. Every night during her prayers, she reflected on her day to make sure she did something kind for someone else.She is survived by her husband, Bud LaPlante; her children and their spouses, Roger "David" (Barbara) LaPlante, Amy (Manuel Ortiz) LaPlante-Ortiz; grandchildren, Benjamin (Kristin) LaPlante, and Katie LaPlante; sister, Alyce Ness; brother-in-law, Tom Van Ark; sister-in-law, Evelyn Delfosse; and godson, Michael Delfosse.She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Edna Delfosse; brother, Lawrence Delfosse; sister, Kathleen Van Ark; and brother-in-law, Jim Ness.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
