It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Elenz, who was born on November 30, 1940, and passed away on September 20, 2025. Mary resided in Mesa, Arizona, United States.

Just as a sunflower turns its face toward the light, Mary A. Elenz lived a life defined by warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones.

Mary, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025. Her memory will forever bloom in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Like the deep roots that anchor a sunflower, Mary provided a sturdy foundation for her family. She will be remembered for her remarkable strength, the radiant warmth of her spirit, and the immense love she gave so freely. True to her favorite phrase, "I did it my way," Mary navigated life with an independent spirit and a fierce dedication to her own path.

Mary’s legacy—a vibrant field of love and connection—lives on through her departed children: Carlo, Eileen and Joseph. Her daughter Theresa still lives on for her mother.

Her light continues to shine brightly through her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and their spouses: Jennifer & Edwin Cotto & their children Samara, Janiah & Edwin Jr., Kristen LeWalker & Laverne Smith & their daughter Imani, Peter & Jennifer Page & their daughter Gabriela, Damien & Cassie LeWalker and their children Thomas John & Adaline, Heather & Gino Bonafe & their children Aiva, Joseph, Skylar, Juliana & Celina, Amanda & Harry Clarke & their children Ruth-Ann, Sophia, Lexi, Jordyn & Arabella and Christopher Jenney & his wife Alexandra Peace.

Though Mary has passed from our sight, her cheerful, bright spirit remains. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her—a beautiful, enduring testament to a life well-lived.

A memorial service will be held on October 10th 2025 at Calverton National Cemetery in Wading River, New York.
