Mary Szymaszek- Reimer, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away with loving family by her side on August 9. 1961. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Carol Avina and sister Sylvia.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband, George Reimer; children Josh Szymaszek, Jennifer Szymaszek, Kimberly Szymaszek, and Beth Szymaszek. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Mary worked for many years at Internal Medicine and Geriatrics in Portage. She touched many lives as a beloved nurse and office manager. Outside of the office, she was a devoted mother and grandmother spending her time with family as often as possible. She loved music, travel, talking with anyone who would lend an ear. To Mary, no one was a stranger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodland Park- Oakwood Grand Hall in Portage, Indiana on July 27, 2025 from 1pm-5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Neuroendocrine Cancer Foundation.

Mary will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love of family, and her commitment to making the world a brighter place.
