Here lies Mary McClendon-Hopkins, who lived a life full of laughter, love, and a whole lot of sass. Born on September 3, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mary was the daughter of Luke McClendon and Jackie Smith. She was the beloved wife of Charles Hopkins, whom she married in 1998.

Mary was a dedicated mother to her two children, Francis Hopkins and Charles Hopkins Jr. She was known for her amazing cooking skills, always whipping up delicious meals for her family and friends.

After graduating from East Cleveland High in 1989, Mary went on to work as a Youth Counselor. She was a shining star in her field, always going above and beyond to help those in need. In 2015, she retired from her position, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and kindness.

In addition to her work as a Youth Counselor, Mary was also a valued member of the Cleveland Chicks Diner organization. She was awarded the title of Most Outstanding Youth Counselor for her dedication and hard work.

On August 10, 2025, Mary passed away from a Brain Aneurysm, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
