Marvin "Butch" BuchananAge: 65 • CraigsvilleMarvin "Butch" Bailey Buchanan, 65, husband of Brenda (Runyon) Buchanan of Craigsville, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 after nine weeks of complications from surgery in the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.Mr. Buchanan was born on December 10, 1951, on Fordwick Hill in Craigsville, Virginia, a son of the late Marvin Bailey Jr. and Louise E. (Welcher) Buchanan.Butch enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and corn hole. He loved spending time with his family and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Buchanan; a sister, Donna Fitzgerald; and a step-daughter, Jennifer Chittum.Surviving in addition to his wife of 37 years is a son, Steven Buchanan; a daughter-in-law Crystal Buchanan; two sisters, Wanda and Caroline Buchanan; and two grandchildren Dagon and Camden Buchanan.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Craigsville Southern Baptist Church by Pastor Tom Quick.
