UNION GROVE - Marvin A. Roslansky, 93, passed away on August 12, 2016 at Aurora Burlington Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 11, 1922 to the late John and Ella (nee: Richter) Roslansky. Marvin graduated from Lakefield High School in 1940. In March of 1941, he proudly enlisted in The United States Marine Corps. While serving his country, Marvin was a prisoner of war for almost four years, and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Order of Trench Rats, the Disabled American Veterans and the Marine Corps League. Marvin was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed cross stitching, wood working, and was an avid bowler. On March 10, 2010, in Arizona, Marvin was united in marriage to the love of his life, Josephine Hutter. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2015. Marvin started Sturtevant Auto Salvage, and was the owner/operator for many years. Marvin is survived by his children, Dennis Roslansky of KY, JoAnn (Rocky) Rockwell of Racine, and Rebecca (Kevin) Stellman of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren, Amanda and Alissa Roslansky, David (Jill) Rockwell, Tanya (Dean) Larsen, Allyson (John) Middaugh, and Tai Stellman, numerous great grandchildren, sister, Donna Mae Schmaltz, special friends, Jack Martini and Jay Wildfong. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Marvin was preceded in death by his son, Steven Roslansky, first wife, Ida, and second wife, Sally. Memorial services for Marvin will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at 5 p.m. with Pastor Holly Anderle officiating. A visitation will take place at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Marvin will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, 3805 Kinzie Ave., Racine, WI 53405 have been suggested by the family.
