Martha Rreta Wells HarrisonAbilene, TXMartha Rreta Wells Harrison, 75, passed away Friday December 9, 2016 in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Grace Fellowship Church, 910 Cypress St., Abilene, TX with Brother Bruce Campbell officiating. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Flowers will be received at the church for the memorial service. Martha was born on March 8, 1941 in Seagraves, TX to the late Bruce and Evaleen Williams Wells. She married Alan Harrison on August 22, 1975. Martha waited tables for many years and was an Avon Lady for the last 33 years. She faithfully sold Avon until all of her customers moved away or passed on. When the last customer passed away, Martha retired. She loved cooking for her family and her favorites were fried potatoes and biscuits. Martha's smile was the biggest when her grandchildren came over to her house. She loved rose bushes and she was of the Baptist faith. Martha will be greatly missed.Preceding her in death were her parents; and four siblings, Mildred, Eddie, Jimmy and Linda. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Alan Harrison of Abilene; sons, Lionel McDowell and Michael McDowell of Abilene, and Scooter Dearing of Montana; two daughters, Martha Schwartz of Abilene and Melissa Harrison of Breckenridge; a sister, Joyce Wells; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and by the LaQuinta family and friends.You may view and sign the guestbook at www.elliotthamilfuneralhome.com
