Martha Marie BrownAbilene, TXMartha Marie Brown, 91, of Abilene, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory Street, with burial following in Cottonwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home. Martha was born on April 13, 1926 in Cross Plains to Thomas and Jewel Woody. She was a great cook and loved gospel and country music. She was also a member of the S. 11th & Willis Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Brown; and sisters, Clara Mae Cowan and Alice Lee Clark.Survivors include two sons, Bobby McMillan and wife Lavaughn and Pete Barbar and wife Marilyn; grandchildren, Carmen Baidas, Michael McMillan, Scott Barbar, and Matt Barbar; and five great grandchildren.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christian Service Center.You may view and sign the guestbook at www.elliotthamilfuneralhomes.com.
