Martha Louise Edwards Harrison, 87, of Salisbury passed away on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at her residence. Martha was born on March 15, 1929 in Iredell County to the late Bessie Hilton and the late Johnny Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Franklin Harrison; brothers, William, L.P., Jim and Eddie Edwards; and sister, Lorene Queen. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Billy Harrison (Sandy) of Lexington; daughter, Patricia Lynn Moretz (Van) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Teresa Kurfees, Matthew Moretz and Michael Whitley; great-grandchildren, Bryan Kurfees, Austin Kurfees and Seth Moretz; as well as her extended family in Roxboro. The family wishes to thank Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care for the excellent care and love, especially nurse Vickie, Aide Heather and Rev. Jordan. A special thanks and appreciation to her granddaughter, Teresa Kurfees who aided in her care also. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all.
