Martha Brown passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, in Springfield, Ohio. Born June 26, 1934, in the same city she called home throughout her life, Martha’s journey was one of devotion to family, tradition and the simple joys that brought people together.
A devoted homemaker. Martha found fulfillment and creating a welcoming home. Her passion for cooking was well known amongst those who knew her-her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of loving prepared meals. Holidays were especially meaningful to her; she delighted an entertaining and bringing loved ones together around the table. Her green thumb was evident in her garden, where she nurtured flowers and vegetables with care and pride.
Martha’s greatest joy came from caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She poured her heart into their lives, offering guidance, love, and u waving support. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and strength across generations.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Robert Jones, Cynthia Jones, Michael Brim Jr, Michelle (Anthony) Crosby. Her legacy continues to her grandchildren: Jacquelyn Jones, Corey (Tosha) Jones, David Jones, Brittany Wallace, Christopher (Alexis) Jones, Kenya (Justin) Craig, and Leslie (Antone) Watters; as well as her great-grandchildren: Demarcus Jones, Alyssa Jones, Jayden Craig, Jade Craig, Tayon Jones, Niyla Watters, Bria Jones and Nyaira Watters. She is also remembered fondly by a host of extended family and friends whose life she touched deeply.
Martha was preceded in death by her be loved husband Michael Brim Sr.; her parents Belle and Algie, siblings Willie, George, Hubert, Lois, and Willa; grandson Benjamin Jones; and granddaughter Melissa Jones.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 11 a.m. until the service time at 12 noon at Greater First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
Martha’s life was a testament to love express through caring and tradition. May her memory bring comfort to all how knew and loved her.
