Marta (Ortero) Cabiya, 91, of Terryville, widow of Alfredo Cabiya, died on Monday (August 7, 2023) at home.

Marta was born on November 22, 1931 in Puerto Rico and was a daughter of the late Mateo and Sofia (Morales) Otero. Raised in Puerto Rico, she has lived in Terryville for the past 51 years. She loved to cook & was warm hearted had open arms for anyone.Very family oriented had a thrill of making others smile for her comfort of happiness.Coming from a large family she will be missed dearly and will live forever through the rest of us. A graveside service will be celebrated on Friday (August 11, 2023) at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol.
