Ziesemer, Marlene AmandaMarlene A. Ziesemer, 85, Neenah, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 24, 2016, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah. She was born on August 6, 1931, in Dale, daughter of Harold and Amanda (Giebel ) Kieckhafer. Marlene attended New London High School. She was united in marriage to Wilbert W. Ziesemer on April 23, 1960, at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, Neenah. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2000. Marlene and Wilbert owned and operatated Rockland Kennels. She enjoyed baking; especially a Venetian Torte, as well as gardening, and feeding the birds. Marlene's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially during "Survivor" night.Marlene is survived by her 2 children: Sharon (David) O'Bright, Oklahoma; and Kevin (Sheila) Ziesemer, Hortonville; 5 grandchildren: Nicholas (Sarah) and Benjamin (Katie) O'Bright, Zachary, Mitchell, and Erin Ziesemer; 2 great-grandchildren: Liam and Hunter O'Bright; 2 sisters: Lorraine (Gerald) Van Dinter and Karen (Dennis) Heimer; and many other relatives and friends.Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 siblings: Richard (Muriel) Kieckhafer and Lorna (Gerald) Gore.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 28, 2016, at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 436 S. Lake St., Neenah with Pastor Tyler Shinnick officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
