Marlene "Joye" Barnett, 81, of Borger, Texas, passed away on July 13, 2021. Marlene was born on June 13, 1940. Joye had requested there not to be a service. Cremation will be under the direction of Sunset Memorial Crematory.

Mrs. Barnett was born in Miami, Texas, and had been a lifetime area resident. She was a homemaker and a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Miami.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Barnett, on Aug. 3, 1991.

Survivors include three sons, James Barnett and Joey Barnett, both of Borger, and Jeff Barnett of Billings; two sisters, Patsy Beard of Hale Center and Jean Haywood of Canyon; and seven grandchildren as well as three great grandchildren.
