'Cause when we jumping and popping, we jopping

Mark Lee, 22, of Vancouver, British Columbia, passed on June 05, 2022, due to suffering a sudden heart attack while "jopping" -- a dance he created alongside his SuperM groupmates which consists of jumping and popping simultaneously. He was on the bus, performing his song "Tiger Inside" for the commoners and a few stray homeless men (per their request) when he suddenly collapsed on the floor, calling out for a man named "Jongin". A woman watching his performance told us that he was "all smiles before the incident" and that was she was "terribly sorry that he had to die in such a disgusting place".

Mark graduated from Johnny's Communication Center in 2017, earning a bachelor's degree in taxidermy and a semi-degree in the study of female psychology all while pursuing his career as a well-known Kpop idol. According to Lee Taeyong, one of Mark's closest friends, he was planning to create a group consisting of only dogs and cats, hoping to launch it under his entertainment company SM, but "wasn't able to for obvious reasons".

His long-time girlfriend, Elisabeth Way, had this to say about Mark:

"Mark was... short. But, he was a good dancer and hard worker. Always wanting to please people. It's what... it's what ended up killing him in the end. I love him. Sorry, loved him. But, I need to move on. It's what Mark would have wanted."

Johnny Suh, one of Mark's closest friends released a statement through SM the day that Mark passed away. Here is a passage that SM was willing to let us use in commemoration of Mark: "Well... Mark is dead. I f*cked his girlfriend. I don't really regret it that much. I'm sad that Mark can't come to me and Abby's wedding. I'll just have Yuta be the best man. RIP Mark. You were a great dancer."

Mark was supposedly a Logangster (a superfan of American Youtuber Logan Paul) and even received a shoutout from Logan on his insta story the day of his passing. His girlfriend said that Mark would have been ecstatic.

Mark's funeral was held in Seoul, South Korea, right next to the statue placed in honor of Psy's Gangnam Style song. In attendance were all 23 NCT members, RM from BTS, Kai from Exo, Taemin from SHINee, Mark's parents, and his long-time girlfriend. After his funeral, NCTzens lit the SM headquarters on fire, chanting "bring Mark back" and "kill Kai". Elisabeth Way was reportedly among those NCTzens as well as NCT's Haechan.

Mark Lee will be remembered as an icon and a legend. His musical impact will be remembered forever. Engraved on his gravestone are the words "Ayo Listen Up, No Matter What they say, no matter what they do, we gon' resonate" a motto that Mark stood by through his life that was cut all too short.
