Mark KaneMarietta, GAMark Kane, 55, passed away on October 27, 2015. He was born on November 30, 1959 in Memphis, Tenn. to Edward F Kane Sr. and Barbara Ann Kane (Geist Hafeman). He grew up in York where he graduated from York Suburban High School. Later in life he moved to Baltimore, Md. before settling in Marietta where he currently lived and owned a small home renovation business. Mark had a great love of all sports, but especially football. He enjoyed working out at the gym and he spent his summers in the Thousand Islands where he sailed, power boated, water skied and fished. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Ann Hafeman of Bluffton, S.C.; sister, Allyce K. Arnold (and former brother-in-law, Andy Arnold); brother Edward Kane Jr. (Rana) of Wilmington, N.C.; former wife, Gina Wheeler Kane and her children, Tori and Trent Wheeler. He was the stepbrother and childhood friend of Greg Hafeman (Carrie). Mark is also survived by his nephews, Andrew, Jacob, Lucas and Clayton Arnold, Taylor Kane; nieces, Tricia Bock, Lindsey Kane, Hali and Kirstin Hafeman. He was the much loved stepson of Jere M Geist (deceased) and Lyle Hafeman. Mr. Kane was preceded in death by his father Edward. He was loved by all with his great smile and easy going attitude. He had a great faith in God and will be missed by all that knew him. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Sunday, November 1st at 2 p.m. at H M Patterson and Son Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Rd., Marietta, GA 30068. Family will receive guests after the service.
