Marjorie Ellen Munro Zuccarini was born on December 28, 1928, to Hugh and Edith Munro in Glendale, CA. Marjorie "Marge" was the youngest of three children. She had a sister, Dorothy Munro Nilmeier, and a brother, Jim (J.K.) Munro, both of whom preceded her in death. Marjorie attended school in Fresno, CA, and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1946. In 1953, Marjorie married Gilbert Dante Zuccarini, a former World War II Fighter Pilot from Pennsylvania. In 1954, they welcomed their first child, a daughter, Debra, and in 1957, their son, Craig was born. Marjorie's children both preceded her in death, Debbi Soligian, on July 22, 1995, and Craig, on March 11, 2016; and her husband, Gilbert, who passed away in 2009. Marjorie is survived by her two grandchildren, Shelby and Troy Zuccarini; and several nieces and nephews and their families. There will be a Celebration of Marjorie's Life at the Elbow Room in Fresno, CA, on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are welcome to join us for a "spec" of their favorite libation as we honor and celebrate the life of our beloved grandmother, auntie and friend.
