Marjorie J. BellPort HuronMarjorie J. Bell, 88, of Port Huron, passed away on June 5, 2017 in McLaren Port Huron Hospital unexpectedly.She was born on June 19, 1928 in Mt. Clemens, daughter of the late Elliott and Genevieve Bell Sr.Marjorie was a lifelong nurse, she became an LPN at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She then went to Macomb Community College to become a Registered Nurse. Marjorie graduated with honors with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in the Nursing Program from Wayne State University. She was a member of Historic Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and she worked in the church Health Ministry. Marjorie enjoyed dancing, bowling, photography and traveling. She also tutored elementary children and continued to until her death.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence (Hiawatha) Blunt of North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan (Stephanie Bell of Port Huron; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Watson of Texas; sister, Theresa Bell of Mt. Clemens and several nieces and nephews.Marjorie was preceded in death by her sisters: Virginia McCrory, Alma Rogers, Shirley Meyers and Marion Bell; brothers: Robert Bell, Emory Bell and Elliott Bell Jr.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Historic Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2801 Nern Street, Port Huron. Pastor John E. Thornton will officiate.Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. @ 17th Street, Port Huron and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the church.Pallbearers will be Doran McCrory, Pierre Rogers, Jeffrey McCrory Jr., William Howard, Jonathon Bell Jr. and Joshua Bell.Honorary Pallbearers will be Lawrence E.
