Nixdorf, Marion E.Marion E. Nixdorf, age 89, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away September 2, 2017, at Dove South Healthcare, Eau Claire, WI. She was born on June 4, 1928, in Wausau, WI and graduated from high school in Athens, WI. She was a graduate of Whitewater State Teacher's College, and earned her MBA in Business Education at the University of Wisconsin. Marion was passionate about education and teaching, and taught in Wisconsin in the Jefferson, Neenah, and Plymouth school districts, as well as the St. Louis Park, MN school district. She left teaching to work for Employers Mutual Insurance Company in California, then moved to Northbrook, IL where she co-authored textbooks on court reporting for Stenograph Incorporated. She also worked in personnel with Lutheran Brotherhood. Prior to her retirement, she returned to education as an administrator with Hennepin Technical College in Minnesota. Following her retirement, she traveled the world by air and sea, visiting every continent. She is survived by her brother Ronald (Yvonne) Nixdorf, her niece Ann (Robert) Ferraro, and great nephews Trey, Luke, and Andrew Ferraro. She was preceded in death by her father Herbert, mother Esther, and nephew Eric Nixdorf. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials are made to Trinity Lutheran Church Visitation Fund or Feed My People. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Hulke Family Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
