We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marilyne Akin, who was born on June 20, 1945, in Kiefer, Oklahoma, United States. Marilyne passed away on February 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Marilyne was the beloved daughter of Cecil and Neila Hardy. She is survived by her two children, Kris Akin and Cheryl Nelson, with her spouse Bo Nelson. Marilyne was also a devoted grandmother to four grandchildren.

After graduating from Kiefer High School, Marilyne went on to work at Indel Davis and Springer Clinic, where she dedicated many years of service before retiring in 2002.

One of Marilyne's greatest passions was baking. She delighted in creating delicious treats for her family and friends, and her homemade goodies will be dearly missed.

Marilyne touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, generosity, and love. She will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that Marilyne is now at peace in the loving arms of her heavenly Father.

Rest in peace, dear Marilyne. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
