April 28, 1945 - November 19, 2016Marilyn Kay Putsche, age 71, of San Antonio and Boerne, TX passed away on November 19, 2016. She was born on April 28, 1945 in Tulsa, OK. Marilyn graduated in 1963 from Robert E. Lee High School. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and Student Council; served three years as a Cheerleader; was chosen Football and Basketball Sweetheart, and graduated fourth in her graduation class. Marilyn attended San Antonio College, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Phi and Phi Theta Kappa Sororities. She was the Chapter Sweetheart of Albert Pike Chapter, Order of DeMolay. Marilyn began working at Coates Energy in San Antonio in 1964, and later worked for related family members in and around San Antonio for over 37 years. Marilyn was a member of First United Methodist Church in Boerne, TX. She was also a church volunteer for many years.Mom loved our many years of summer fishing vacations in Port Aransas and Rockport, TX. She also loved over 65 years of camping, fishing, boating, skiing and swimming at Medina Lake. She enjoyed her "Boerne House on the Hill" off Hwy 46. Mom truly cherished her "Lee Lunch Bunch" friends and her many other very close and long-time friends from her Robert E. Lee High School and her Coates Energy days. She had more close and fun friends than anyone we have ever known, and her friends were so caring and loving through the years, with so many driving from San Antonio and Boerne to Cypress, TX to express their love and share fond memories during her final few months of life.But most of all, Mom loved her two sons, Garret and Vance, and their families which include daughters-in-law Diana and Elise, and her grandsons Blake, Austin, and Joshawa. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Lorene and Charles Putsche; brother, Phillip Putsche and his wife, Hannah. Marilyn is survived by her two sons; Vance Fairchild and wife, Elise Fairchild; and Garret Fairchild and wife, Dr. Diana Pino; grandsons, Austin Fairchild, Blake Fairchild, and Joshawa West, wife Jordyn and their son JJ; step-granddaughter Michelle Baldwin, husband Jason, and their son Grayson; step-grandson Jason Turner, wife Mary, and their children Raymon, Andrew, and Myah; sister, Charlene McCullough and husband, Ron McCullough of Tulsa, OK; nephews, Mike McCullough, Curt Putsche and Brian Putsche; nieces, Karen McCullough and Cheryl Heisten.
