JeffersonvilleWhite, Marilyn Joyce (Stonecipher),86, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017. She was a retired teacher for Greater Clark School Corporation. After her retirement, Marilyn enjoyed being a volunteer for Retired Teachers of Indiana, AARP, and Lifespan Resources. She was an avid reader and loved both gardening and traveling. Marilyn also had a special place in her heart for animals. She was born on January 1, 1931 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Arlus Stonecipher and Elizabeth (Bruner) Jones. Marilyn was also preceded in death by her son, Daniel White. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert White; children, David White (Vicki), Lawrence White (Coyette), Kathryn Grant, Deborah Brock; grandchildren, Nicholas White, Christopher White, Alexander Grant, Courtney Brock, Devon Brock, Amy White; great-granddaughter, Peyton; and dear friend, Alice Pearson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 3 PM to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 10 AM. Her Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Thursday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
