Marilyn Jean Murphy- a mentor to many, and a friend to all, peacefully passed September 26, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 65.

Born April 23, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to Edna Lyes and Willie Griffin, Marilyn was a strong, lively, educated woman. In 1987, Marilyn was happily married to Albert Murphy who was her partner in life for 32 years at the time of her passing.  

Concluding her education at Saginaw High and Delta College, Marilyn became a Hospice Nurse which she retired from in 2002. Not only was she a Hospice Nurse, but she was also a licensed beautician.

Nine Grand Children:

     - Kenneth Mack Jr., Montrea Donoho, Dominique Donoho (to LaKiesha Donoho)

     - Erika Donoho Geese, Ashley Donoho, Dequarius Adkins, Erik Donoho Jr., King Donoho, Airrece Donoho         (to Erik Donoho) 

     - Nine Great Grand Children, plus one on the way

      - Patricia Griffin (deceased), Pete Cannon, Janice Cannon (sister-in-law) 

Honorable Mention to Tynee Murphy, beloved puppy. Gladys Townsel, best friend of 35 years. Also, Alice Nickelberry, close family friend, and lastly, Danesha Richards, God Daughter.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Marilyn LOVED to read books for she had a passion for them, but also enjoyed a night out at the casino. Marilyn had a kind, gentle spirit and was known for her ability to provide genuine help for those who needed her. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
