Jacobs, Marilyn (Rugg)Marilyn Beverly (Rugg) Jacobs, age 89 of Appleton, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on May 29, 2017.Marilyn was born on July 24, 1927 in Lakewood, WI where she grew up. She was the youngest of 14 children.Marilyn married the love of her life, William Jacobs, in Crandon in 1950. The couple settled in the Fox Valley where they raised their six children: Wayne; Barbara; Paul; Laura; Timothy; and Thomas.Marilyn loved the Lord and made sure her children went to church. Marilyn and William fellowshipped at the Fox Valley Christian Fellowship in Kimberly. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was everything to her. She enjoyed hosting for holidays at their house and will always be remembered for her amazing brownies, bread, pumpkin bars and her many different pies. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. She loved to fish and also loved her pets. When asked how she was, she would respond, "Fine as froghair!"Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Laura (Frye) Rugg; 13 brothers and sisters; her husband William; daughter-in-law, Connie Jacobs; grandson, Jesse: great-granddaughter, Hope; and great-grandson, Carter.She is survived by her children: Wayne Jacobs; Barbara (Steve) Sager; Paul (Debra) Jacobs; Laura (Richard) Messman; Timothy (Carla) Jacobs; Thomas (special friend Paul Lamers) Jacobs; her many grandchildren; nieces and nephews.A funeral service for Marilyn will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Fox Valley Christian Fellowship, 1200 W. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, Rev. Steve Nickel officiating.
