EDEN - Mariela Gonzalez, 42, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at her home in Eden, Texas. Mariela was born on Feb. 5, 1961, to Daniel and Hilaria Aguirre in Hereford, Texas. She has resided in Eden for the past 10 years. Mariela was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother and she was also greatly devoted to her church, the Fort Concho Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her many family members and friends. Survivors include her husband, Rogelio Gonzales of Eden; her mother, Hilaria N. Aguirre of San Angelo; two daughters, Prescilla Recio and husband, Eric, of Eden, Linda Lopez and Johnny Ruiz of Eden; one son, Fabien Lopez and Sara Gamez of San Angelo; two sisters, Elsa Arntt and husband, Douglas, of San Angelo and Elinora Ayers and husband, Edwin, of Germany; one brother, Mario Aguirre and wife, Cindy, of Arlington; and six grandchildren, James and Larissa Vordick, David Caldera and Jessica, Johnny and Julian Ruiz, all of Eden. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, in Eden Funeral Chapel in Eden, Texas. Burial will follow in Eden City Cemetery.
