Marie Payne, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born on June 19, 1936, to Marion Huger and Beulah Davis, both of whom have preceded her in death. Marie was also preceded in death by her beloved partner, Albert Payne.

Marie is survived by her loving daughter, Zenobia Payne, as well as her three cherished grandchildren Raven Symone Frazier ,Ja"various brown and Ja' Darious Brown. She attended Burke High School and went on to work at Robertsons Cafeteria and Memminger Elementary. In addition to her professional career, Marie dedicated her time to helping in the Prayer Band organization.

One of Marie's passions was teaching others about the power of Jesus Christ. She found joy in sharing her faith with those around her and was a source of inspiration to many.

Marie will be remembered for her kind and loving nature, her unwavering faith, and her dedication to her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
