Curmode, Marie 96, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at the Catholic Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvia and Corrine Benoit; husband, Ellsworth B. Curmode; daughter, Sharon Jobe; son-in-law, Robert Jobe; brothers, Dale Benoit, Don Benoit; sisters, Magarite Davis, Viola Emley, Teresa Rains, Bernice Delaquilla, Sylvia Fox; grandchildren, Jamie Zackula, Kelley Mingle. Survivors include daughter, Judy (Chris) Hotze of Wichita; son, Gary Curmode of Copper Mountain, CO; grandchildren, Jeff Hotze of Wichita, Todd (Melissa) Hotze, Whitney (Brian) Courser, Morgan (Jeff) Johnson, Blair (Andrew) Christ, all of Overland Park, KS, Tanner Hotze of Kansas City, MO, Alison (Jarrett) Sanders of Wichita, Rory, Kasey, and Mogie Curmode, all of Wichita; 10, soon to be 11, great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Leo (Virginia) Benoit of Garden Plain, KS and Harold (Melba) Benoit of Wichita; sisters, Aurelia Schultz, Mary Lou McCall of Wichita; many nieces and nephews. Marie was born on May 5, 1920 in Damar, KS. She was employed by Beech Aircraft Corporation and then by the Internal Revenue Service from which she retired in 1982. Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2016; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 29, 2016, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
